I am thrilled, and humbled, to share that I have been awarded a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional Award in Business Central. When I started sharing and publishing Business Central content, I had one goal in mind, to give back to the community that has helped me so much over the years.

When I moved from the software world of Test and Measurement into Business Software there were amazing people who posted introductions on SSRS Reporting, GP Accounting for Developers and there is not a single GP developer I know that doesn’t know Victoria Yudin‘s web page.

When I needed to pivot from GP to BC, I had a lot to learn. Not only that, but the platform is constantly changing. I had to jump on the BC Bandwagon, but the bandwagon was a rocket ship, and it was launching.

It was a challenge, it was fun, it was frustrating. All along the way Microsoft MVPs were there, posting content, providing educational material, answer my questions. The hero’s I needed.

As my Business Central Development skills grew, I found that my outside experience and perspective was helpful in teaching others BC AL development. I wanted to give back, to provide content that might help someone grow in their BC development journey. I had the good fortune to be chatting with Savannah Dill, she offered to mentor me and help me get started. She also introduced me to many new people in the community.

I’ve had the privilege of meeting so many amazing people, talking, sharing, collaborating. So much great advice from an amazingly welcoming community.

Earning a Microsoft MVP was not my goal, it is a signpost on my journey saying that I’m doing good work. I have a lot more to do, and my journey has only started. Thank you for joining me on it.
