DynamicsCon 2025 is next week at the Hyatt Regency Chicago in Chicago, Illinois. This is going to be a fantastic conference!
I have the privilege of presenting “Business Central Performance Management” on Wednesday 5/14 at 3:45 in Regency Ballroom D-West Tower. That is just one of the 350+ sessions happening over 3 days.
Outside of pitching my presentation, I thought this would be a great opportunity to highlight one of the best things about the community that has formed around the Dynamics products. While I’ll be at a gathering filled with people who are “technically” my competitors, they are also my cohorts and friends. We all have something to share, and something to learn.
The truth is as consulting groups; we have all lost clients to each other. As professionals, we have to be accepting of that. Not every project is going to go perfectly, not every client is a good fit for the way a partner does business.
What we all have in common is the shared platform that we use every single day. The fact that that platform encompasses an enormous breath of products and technologies, and that we all have to be constantly learning to stay ahead. Add to that an enjoyment of both learning and teaching, and you have the crazy community you see here.
For many of us, as adults, it is difficult to make friends out there. I have those extrovert friends that I could drop off in the desert all alone (and sometimes fantasist about doing just that) and then come back an hour later to pick them up and 20 new friends. I’m not one of those people, and finding a group that shares my technical interests, that are a little nerdy, and we all this common thread is a treat.
DynamicsCon and the Dynamics User Groups (DUG for short) work hard to connect users and partners together to help both grow.

Everyone should consider meeting up at their local DUG meetup events. It is a great opportunity to network with users and partners as well as participate in free training.

If you are at DynamicsCon this year, look me up, I have stickers! If you are in the New England Area, watch for meetups of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 – New England Region DUG. I hope to see you around.
